The all new F36-540 10” 2.2KW And F36-541 12” 3KW (induction motor) cast iron sliding panel saw signals Fox’s emergence into the professional workshop arena. Bristling with well thought out solutions, it will take on the challenges of professional joinery with consummate ease. Build quality is simply delightful, with lavish quantities of cast iron promising a lifetime of stability, precision and durability. The 1550mm aluminum sliding carriage opens up the potential of this machine for furniture, shopfitting and general joinery. A smooth, playfree operation is ensured through high quality precision bearings and a substantial swinging support arm. The sliding table is equipped with a large extruded aluminum mitre fence, which features a flipover endstop and a quick-action material clamp. It is further enhanced by an integral infeed roller, which significantly assists the handling of board material. Rear and right-hand extension tables are supplied as standard, complementing the ease and safety of use. Fox's highly respected Alignarip ripfence features a quickaction locking mechanism, with optically assisted fine adjustment for precise setting of cutting widths. Laminated material can be machined with a perfectly splinter free cut quality thanks to the scoring unit positioned to the front of the main 254mm TCT blade. A 9Omm scorer blade contra rotates at 5800rpm, prescoring the underside of faced material before the main blade makes the final cut. The unit can be quickly fine-adjusted to ensure on a precise line-through of both blades. The maximum cutting capacity on offer at 90 is a highly respectable 75mm (3"). Depth and angle of cut is precisely regulated via two substantial crankwheels situated in the robust cabinet base. The on/off switch further reinforces Fox’s strict safety policy: a large kneeoperated NVR is positioned for immediate accessibility. Where a more substantial cutting capacity is required, the F36-541 12" 3.0KW (induction motor) cast iron sliding panel saw provides an uprated solution. It is essentially identical to its sister model, the F36-540, but features a 3.0KW motor and a 315mm (12") blade. This increases the saw's cutting capability to a l00mm depth of cut at 90 and 80mm at 45.
