It is axiomatic that however outstanding the quality of the cutting tool, without a keen edge the results will be less than perfect. The Fox F23-710 sharpening centre enables you to achieve that so vital edge, rejuvenating and restoring chisels and planer blades to their former glory. It features two individual sharpening stations; a 5” (125 x 51mm) 120G white stone which rotates at 2650 rpm, facilitating dry reprofiling and redressing of chisels and other cutting tools, and an 8” (200mm) 1000G horizontal wetstone cooled by a water-feed system. Rotating at 320rpm, it is ideal for sharpening heat sensitive steels, achieving optimal results with planer/jointer blades. An integral blade jig simplifies this operation, taking out the hit-or-miss element for the less experienced. Powered by a quiet, smooth running 1/3h.p. motor and constructed from robust cast iron, the F23-710 is the obvious choice for the busy workshop environment where demands are on quality, performance and value for money.

Fox’s uprated version, the F23-881 8” industrial bench grinder features a powerful 3/4hp motor, two 8” (200mm) diameter by 1” (25mm) wide grinding wheels; a coarse aluminium oxide grey stone for rapid grinding and a fine white stone for reduced heat generation, particularly practical for when sharpening or dressing heat sensitive material. The Magnivision eyeshields, the Integral workpiece light, the spindle lock function, the pull-out storage drawer and the cast tool rests are also all standard with this machine.
