The Fox Fl1-951 8” pillar drill reflects a deliberate move away from conventionality to allow scope for creative engineering flair. The end product - a highly refined, functional machine with a powerful 350W motor, five operating speeds ranging from 580 to 2650 rpm, and a whole host of additional features as standard. The drill feed is optimized with Fox’s cast handwheel, coupled with micro-adiustable depth control via a well placed thumb wheel. A cast iron table both tilts to 45° and swivels through 360°, as well as featuring slide-out extension supports for maximum material support and operator safety. A 13mm keyless engineering chuck utilises the industry standard MT2 drive and can be emoved effortlessly to accomodate the direct use of taper shank drills. With a pull-out tray for practical storage of drill bits situated in the base, a laser drilling guide, an extendable chuck guard and a drillpress vice all as standard, the F11-951 is a highly versatile companion in the small workshop.
